Gem Dragon Disciple

Gem dragon disciples are similar do dragon disciples, tracing their heritage back to the gem dragons, which possess potent psionic powers. Therefore, gem dragon disciples are psionic manifesters, not arcane spellcasters, which claim their dragon blood responsible for the psionic power pulsing within them.

Although obviously psions, wilders and psychic warriors seem to be predestined to become gem dragon disciples, technically any character can become one, requiring only the Hidden Talent feat and choosing the right power with it.

For these characters, the path of the gem dragon disciple is a rewarding and plausible one, for it very well explains the Hidden Talent’s origin.

Bonus Power Points: A gem dragon disciple gains a certain amount of bonus power points at each level, which will be pooled with power points from other sources. A character with three levels in the gem dragon disciple prestige class gains a total of 15 power points from tthe gem dragon disciple class.

Bonus Powers: On certain levels, a gem dragon disciple gains knowledge of a new power. This can be chosen either from his usual list of powers to chose from, the psion/wilder list, or from the powers restricted to the bonus discipline depending on the dragon variety chosen, as given in Table 2 below.

The maximum level of the power that can be chosen equals the maximum level the character is able to manifest.
